Power station for a family in Mykolaiv

SA2U supported the Stasch family, living in a small village near Mykolaiv, with the purchase of a power station for charging devices and generating electricity. The power station is powered by a solar panel that the family also sourced, meaning they are no longer at the mercy of electrical outages.

Doing bright things with TOLK

SA2U used CHF 1,000 of the funds raised through its recent “Gift of Warmth” initiative for winter aid to support Ukrainian electrical company TOLK’s “Do bright things!” campaign. Generators for Kharkiv with Help Ukraine Today

SA2U supported Kharkiv-based NGO Help Ukraine Today with CHF 4,300 for the purchase of 7 generators for “points of invincibility” in Kharkiv. The points are shelters for residents, equipped with generators, wood-burning stoves, food and basic medicine. The generators helped keep the shelters warm and running through the winter months.

Helping IDPs in Odesa with Ilona Malytska

SA2U supported Ilona Malytska, our most trusted volunteer, in cooperation with Kviten Association, with EUR 5,000 for the purchase of winter aid. A shelter in the village of Chernomorka in Odesa region, housing 58 IDP families, including 23 children, received two generators, and residents received “boxes of heat and light”.

Warming up Kharkiv with Kviten Association

SA2U supported its Swiss-based aid partner Kviten Association with the purchase of 8 wood-burning stoves for the Kharkiv Youth City Council. The stoves were installed in warm shelters used by first responders in between missions. They burn a variety of wood, require no electricity, and can be used for cooking.

Food for Kharkiv with Kviten Association

SA2U supported its Swiss-based aid partner Kviten Association in providing critical assistance to Kharkiv residents preparing for the impending winter. Funds donated to the Rotary Club New Level Kharkiv were used for the purchase of 6,129 cans of sardines for basic food packages which were distributed to over 600 people.
