SA2U used part of a generous grant from the Ingeborg Gross Foundation to support the Children of Heroes fund with the purchase of warm clothes for Ukrainian children who have emigrated to Germany. All of the kids Children of Heroes supports have lost one or both parents in the war.

At the time, Children of Heroes was caring for 43 children who had moved to Switzerland and Germany with family members. The fund’s mission is to care for the children until adulthood.
Children of Heroes launched a “Warmth for Children” project in winter 2022 to support the children with the purchase of warm coats, hats, scarves, and gloves, as well as shoes, heaters, and wood for private houses.
