Regions:Kherson and frontline communities
Aid provided:Hot meals, portable power, winter heating, hot water and hygiene support
Beneficiaries:191 families cooking again, 61 families raising children with disabilities, 43 displaced families sheltered, and 72 elderly residents

Through the winter of 2024-2025, the HopeKeeper Foundation delivered aid to some of the most vulnerable people still living in Kherson and its frontline communities: elderly residents, displaced families, and families raising children with disabilities. Power outages lasting 30 to 100 hours and temperatures falling to -23°C made every delivery a challenge, yet the team reached those who needed help most.

What your support made possible

  • Hot meals in the red zone. 191 families received gas stoves and cylinders to cook and heat water where centralised gas and electricity have been cut off.
  • Power for families raising children with disabilities. 61 families received high-capacity portable power banks to keep essential devices running through long outages.
  • Warm shelter. 8 tonnes of fuel briquettes and heating equipment kept a hotel sheltering 43 displaced families warm through the coldest weeks of winter.
  • Hot water in the shelter. A 100-litre water heater restored reliable hot water for around 40 residents who had lost their homes to missile attacks.
  • Care for mobility-impaired elderly. Hygiene supplies reached 72 elderly beneficiaries through the local social service centre.
