Aid Partner:Hopekeeper Foundation
Funds:Part of USD 19,982 grant
Regions:Kherson
Aid provided:“Drone Sense” early warning device for shelter residents
Beneficiaries:Displaced families living in the Rishelievsky Hotel

Since 2022, the Rishelievsky Hotel in Kherson has been a refuge for people who lost their homes to the war. It offers more than shelter – residents receive meals, support, and help finding work. But despite its humanitarian mission, the hotel is under constant threat from FPV drone strikes and bombings.

Through the Hopekeeper Foundation, the hotel received a “Drone Sense” early warning device that detects approaching enemy drones. This vital tool gives residents precious seconds to seek shelter and avoid injury or death. For families already displaced by war, knowing they have those extra moments of warning brings a small but meaningful sense of safety to their daily lives.
